about Wendy Pritchard

Biography

I trained as an occupational psychologist, then worked for 22 years as a consultant psychologist within business before setting up my own consultancy, Wendy Pritchard Associates, which I ran for 29 years. I held various non-executive appointments in the public and voluntary sectors during this time.

I have been involved since 1989 with Camden Garden Centre which is a Social Enterprise providing employment opportunity through training for people disadvantaged in the labour market, as well as aiming to be the Garden Centre of choice for Londoners.

Profile (blurred)_edited_edited.jpg

I have had a passion for wooden boats and boatyards since childhood and this led me to become involved in Maritime Heritage by helping to set up, in 2011, the charity Rescue Wooden Boats.

I also take an active interest in Airship Heritage, as my grandfather, Major J E M Pritchard, was an airship pilot who served in the first world war, participated in the first double crossing of the Atlantic in the R34 in 1919, and was killed in the R38 disaster in 1921. I hold the family archive of material which I am conserving and cataloguing as well as using it to give invited talks at the Royal Aeronautical Society.
